Outer Space

Tomorrow I will be priming Diego's room and then painting one of his walls a navy blue. I have been quite enthusiastic about turning Diego's room into a space themed abode, decked out with rocket ships, comets, planets, stars and a big bright moon. I am buying the Moon in My Room by Uncle Milton, that actually goes through the phases and also serves as a night light. I also found these really cute Kiddie Rockers that will make for good seating and lounging for my li'l guy. One thing for sure, is that I can't wait to redo Diego's closet, because the shelving in there just doesn't suit my needs. It is haphazardly placed, rigged and poorly utilizes the space it inhabits. I have also been looking on Craigslist almost every single day for a new toddler bed. I'm on the hunt for something wooden, natural in color, boyish, and has a storage drawer/trundle underneath. Space is limited in there, so ample storage options is a huge plus. I have also been looking into a new storage/bookcase system I found online and in a catalog, that will really make good use of the small space in Diego's room. I will post a pic of it shortly. All in all I am very excited about this new task I am undertaking. It may take me a while to get his room the way I want it, because money is always an issue, but as long as I can work on it a little bit at a time, it will prove to be a joy to both my son and me.
